Creating your account
Every Snikus account starts the same way, whether you plan to launch a startup, join one, or just follow along. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with one tap using Google — both land you in exactly the same place.
Signing up with email
You will need: your name, a username (3-30 characters, letters/numbers/underscores only — checked live as you type so you know right away if it's taken), a valid email, a password (at least 6 characters), and your date of birth. A couple of things worth knowing:
- Username is your permanent handle — your profile URL and your @mentions. You can change it later from Settings with no cooldown, but pick something you're comfortable with.
- Date of birth — Snikus requires you to be at least 13. It's never shown publicly.
You'll also agree to Snikus's Terms before the account is created.
Signing up with Google
Tap "Continue with Google" and choose your account — no password to create. If it's your first time this way, you'll land on a one-time screen to pick a username and confirm your date of birth (same 13+ requirement), since Google doesn't hand those over automatically. One email address can only ever be tied to one Snikus account — if you already have one under that email, signing in with Google logs you into it instead of creating a second account.
Right after signup: onboarding
New accounts go through a short, three-step setup: what you're here for (Founder, personal use, or organizing/community), your country, and up to 5 interests to shape your early feed. None of it is permanent — your interests can be changed any time from Settings.
Switch Profile — running more than one account
Snikus supports up to 3 accounts on the same device, switchable from your profile menu without logging out and back in each time. It's tied to your device, not shared or synced anywhere else.
Frequently asked
Can I change my email later?
Yes, from Settings — you'll need to verify the new address with a code before it takes effect.
What if I forget my password?
Use "Forgot password?" on the login page. We'll email a reset link that expires after a short window.
